This Week's Wonderful Waiting Kids

I have to start this week with a plea for prayers, prayers for a miracle.

Do you remember sweet Lucy,

who is now Teresa and is home with her wonderful family??  Well, she and her family need our prayers and with her mommie's permission I am asking for help in prayer.  They were hoping the medical reports from China were wrong, but they were not.  Her poor little heart is very damaged as are her lungs.  The prognosis is not good.  Worst case, just a few months.  Best case, a few years.  They are praying for a miracle because as the doctors told them, this is their only hope right now.  Can you imagine being told that, at best, your child has only a few more years to live?  It is a parent's worst nightmare.  I have had little Teresa's picture on my fridge for a long time now and I will keep it there to remind me to pray for her and her family and her doctors, every day!!  Please join me in praying for this beautiful child.  From the words of her new Mommie,

"This journey has been truly amazing. Four months ago when we stepped out in faith to adopt Teresa we knew it would be an adjustment for our family to welcome a child so sick . Once we held her in our arms all the fears of her condition just melted away. Her contagious smile and little laugh lights up the room . She loves life and it is so clear in her little eyes. She is so sweet and kind to her sisters and the love she gives to Ed and I melts our hearts. We are so blessed to have her as our daughter. So many miracles already surround her ."

Please go here to read more about this precious child and please keep her in your prayers!

I would also like to share some good news.  Precious Lily and wonderful Monroe both have families!!

I am so very happy for Lily and Monroe and their new families!!!

So to start this week's waiting kids, there is a wonderful little boy who is being advocated for by Love Without Boundaries.  His name is Henry and he sounds like a completely wonderful young man.

Here is what was written about Henry from LWB:

Henry, a sweet 11 year old boy who is currently on the shared list and needs a family of his own! His special need is a mild problem in his lower left limb. He is active, friendly and has a ready smile. He has normal intellectual development, has a good ability to care for himself and knows how to get along with other children and caretakers.

The nannies report that Henry is very kind-hearted and helpful to both them and the other children. Younger kids like to listen to him. He pushes the wheelchairs of the special needs kids when they want to wash hands, and he peels the cover of sweets and helps feed it to children whose fingers are not flexible. Although reading and studying aren’t his favorite activities, he does enjoy hard work and often helps the nannies and teachers do some cleaning.

Please contact mailto:adoptionassistance@lwbmail.comif you might be interested in learning more about sweet and caring Henry!!

There is also precious Aiden, who is also being advocated for by LWB.

This is what is written about this absolutely adorable little boy:

Aiden just turned eight. While he is a little shy, you wouldn’t guess it from his grin! He’s currently receiving tutoring. Every day before class, he helps the teacher move the table and carry the chairs. He also likes to help his fellow students. He helps pick up books off the ground, helps other children move their chairs and loves to help his fellow student, Grace, learn her numbers.  He can recite about five pieces of poetry such as “Early Spring” and “The Goose”. Aiden’s recent big accomplishment is to start reading the time on the clock. He likes to draw and can count from 1 to 100, as well as doing single digit addition and subtraction.

Aiden knows the four directions correctly. He is respectful to his teacher and always eager to learn new things. We look forward to getting his reports each month since we always get a big, sweet smile in his photos.  Doesn’t he look proud of his accomplishments? All he needs now is a family to share in his pride! Aiden is on the shared list in China’s Waiting Child program with a special need of Dwarfism.
Please contact adoptionassistance@lwbmail.com for more information on this sweet young boy!

  8. These children are percious. I'm only 16 years old, but that doesn't effect the way i see things. Ever since i was little i've always wanted to adopt. Seeing how much these children just re-enforces my wanting to adopt. I can not wait till i am able to move out, get a job, and then finally start my own family. All these little ones are in my prayers.
