This Week's Wonderful Waiting Kids

Gotta start this week with the families who are desperately trying to bring their children home!  Please go check out my Sunday Snapshot, it is all about those families and their fundraising efforts.  I have to mention, however, Janice and her family.  Time is of the essence for this family.  Their child, ZL

ages out in JANUARY!!!  This wonderful family have been given a second chance to save this child.  Please, please consider donating even a small amount to help bring this precious child home and give him a future!  Janice has a chip in on her blog, We're Taking Baby Steps, please click over and prayerfully consider eloping!

I also want to mention Regina and her family.  Here is another beautiful family who are trying to save their daughter before she ages out.

Helen, who is now Mandi, is a beautiful child who has waited long enough for the love of a family.  Please go to their blog, Finding our Daughters in China, to check out their very cool fundraiser!

Again, there are a few more families listed here on my blog.  Please go and  find out about their fundraisers - we're talking iPad and more!!!  Great for Christmas!

Always glad when I can start with some happy news!  Remember Landon

 and Liam

They now have families!!!!  YAY!!!  These precious children are listed with FTIA and are being cared for by An Orphans Wish.  On this list they still have adorable Luke who still waits

Please go to FTIA's website to find out more about beautiful Luke and see all the other wonderful kids they have listed!

First up this week are the beautiful kids listed with Lifeline.  These precious kids' files will be sent back in a few days.

There is beautiful Natalie

Natalie is described as "Hep B Positive, generally healthy.  Natalie is stated to dance beautifully. She likes to share and has a gentle personality. She also likes to help take care of the other children."

Natalie was also advocated for by LWB.  She was listed as Sara then and this is what they wrote about this sweet child:

I wonder what we could learn about Sara if we could but read the language of her soul. She loves to dance. If music is playing, Sara is dancing.

For much of her eight years, she struggled with spoken language; perhaps dance became her language of expression at an early age. Now that she speaks fluently with her friends, aunties, and teachers, she still loves to express herself through dance.

If you asked her, Sara would probably say she aspires to be a great dancer someday. She has been blessed to have a teacher at our school who loves to dance and to teach the children the art and beauty of dance. Undoubtedly she would also say that she aspires to have a family of her own — parents who will take video and photos of her dancing and show them to everyone they know, bragging about their beautiful daughter. Sara aspires to feel the security of knowing she is loved unconditionally and will never be abandoned again. She aspires to be loved by someone who will do everything possible to give her a hope and a future – not because of what she achieves or accomplishes, but just because she is precious Sara.

Sara, age nine, first became a student at our “Believe in Me” School  in 2007 and was previously mentioned in this blog (Sarah, Once Shy, Now Sunny, Still Waiting) in May 2010. This “pretty-eyed, pirate-smile” tiny dancer has danced her way into our hearts and hopefully will dance herself right into a family’s arms.

Please, please go to Lifeline's Website to watch Natalie/Sarah's video.  It is wonderful and this precious child does love to dance!  It breaks my heart to think that she has no one to watch her dance with the loving appreciation that only a parent can provide!  You can also email Amy at amy.dummier@lifelineadoption.org to request more info on this beautiful girl.  You can also view their other wonderful children like:

Grace

Kent

and Mary Beth
Please email Amy at amy.dummier@lifelineadoption.org to get more info on these precious children, many of whom have scholarships, before their files have to be sent back!!

Also listed with Lifeline is a beautiful little boy in Taiwan.  He is Yen and he is 3 years old.  This is what was sent to me by my wonderful friend Stephanie:

This precious 3 year old named Yen will be leaving Cathwel's Jonah House orphanage on Friday to be placed in a long term care facility - unless the Lord leads a family to him by that time!  I am praying and seeking your prayers and your help to advocate for him. He reminds me of our Ellianna Ya-Ting. Don't let the photos of the special seating/standing "contraption" scare you! Ellianna was placed in these too so that her muscles could be stretched. There is precious little boy inside that heart and he just needs the love of his family to help him to grow and thrive and come to know Jesus.  Please send the word around that he needs a family as soon as possible. We will be able to continue to advocate for him once he leaves the Jonah House orphanage but the thought of the trauma to him of having to leave and go to a long term facility where once again he will not know anyone breaks my heart to pieces.

If you think you might be little Yen's hope, please contact Stephanie at tingministries@comcast.net  She has many pics and documents available of this sweet child!

Next are 3 beautiful girls ( 2 of whom will age out soon) who are featured on Madison's shared listing.

The first is Allison

Allison is a healthy 12 year old child who deserves a forever family and will age out in August of next year.  Not only was this precious child abandoned at birth but she was apparently taken in by the director of the orphanage and his wife and cared for until the director's wife died from cancer!  She has now lost the love of 2 mothers in her life.  Please go to Madison's yahoo group to view her file or email Diana at diana.maa@comcast.net to get more info on this sweet child.

Next is Heather

Heather is another healthy young child who will be 13 in June - dangerously close to aging out.  Just look at that sweet face!  She is described as "extroverted and active."  She likes to "communicate and play with others!"  Please, again go to Madison's Yahoo Group or email Diana at diana.maa@comcast.net to get more info and view her file.

Also featured on their shared list is adorable Bianca!

I have watched Bianca for a while on different lists and just don't understand why she is still waiting.  What a darling little girl!

Bianca is 7 years old and is listed as having SLIGHT Cerebral Palsy.  It also sounds like she has come a long way and is VERY determined (hmmmm, sounds like a little Lizzie that I know - heh).  Just from reading her file, I can tell you that this child will inspire any family willing to give her a chance!  Again, you can go to Madison's Yahoo Group or email Diana at diana.maa@comcast.net to find out more info and view her file.

I also have to mention Madison's Hope Children.  These precious children have substantial grants available and are just wonderful.

The first is Nolan who has particularly touched the hearts of those who have met him.

He wants a family more than anything and the staff at MAA is dedicated to finding that family for him! They have waived their agency fees and there is NO orphanage donation! That tells you just how special this child is and how loved he is by all who know him!! Please consider helping them make his dream come true!!!

Next is sweet Carrie

This is what Diana wrote about this precious child:

Carrie is one of the very special children we met in Tianjin in Feb. 2009. She has CP, but believe me, it doesn't slow her down. Carrie's first placement also did not work out, but a friend at Tianjin has assured me that she also desperately wants a family. She is fiesty and fun, but ever so sweet and kind.

There is also adorable Lance

and Elias

Please go here on my blog to read more about these wonderful children

Also listed with Madison are many of their beautiful Camp kids who are still waiting for families like beautiful Vivian

who is described  as "a darling girl who grabs your heart immediately!"  Sara from Madison interviewed her and said that she has "a gentle and caring character and is very outgoing."  She wants to be a teacher when she grows up and her favorite pet is a cat!

Vivian has minor hearing loss but her mental development is normal. She is a bit shy and slightly self conscious about her appearance. Poor child!! Sara noticed that she is "obviously greatly loved by her caretakers." Please someone, search your heart for this wonderful child. She is one who will not have a future unless she finds a loving family who can make her feel as beautiful as she is!!!

Please contact Diana at diana.maa@comcast.net for more info on these wonderful kids or to join their yahoo group and see all the other precious children who are listed with them.  They are a wonderful, compassionate agency!

Next I want to feature a few of the beautiful kids listed with Wasatch.  The first is sweet Bree who I featured last week.

There has been some more info on adorable Bree and I have (with permission) taken this from another wonderful advocate's site:

Bree was born with congenital varus of both feet and a deformed left thumb. There is a possibility that because of the seriousness of her lower limbs, amputation may have to be considered. She also has a deformity of her head on one side and it may be that it has affected her speech although this has not been confirmed. Her file should be looked at closely by an orthopedic specialist and a neurosurgeon. Besides her speech, Bree seems to have followed all the growth milestones since she was a baby such as crawling, turning to the sound of her name, switching toys between hands, sitting alone and imitating sounds. At 23 months she could crawl to the toys box to find her favorite toys or put the toys back into the box. She was able to crawl upstairs and downstairs, sometimes grabbing food from the children who are older than her. Bree walks on her knees while holding onto the walls. Bree is said to smile and laugh often although we can't tell that from the pictures. We have requested an update on Bree as this information is approximately a year old.

There is a special grant in the amount of $1,000 associated with this child's adoption through a private donor.  There is also grant funding in the amount of $2500 for qualifying families through this agency.  For more information, please contact kathy@wiaa.org

** UPDATE ** We recently found that Bree can speak and below is what the orphanage director says. We are excited as we feel this indicates that her head deformation is not affecting her speech. Also a CT scan has been done and we have the results. Finally, we have had two American neurologists look at the scans and give their best guess as to her issues. It appears a family wanting to adopt her will need to make a "leap of faith" as nothing is definitive about her condition. She could have future issues or she could be fine with or without surgery.

Please, please look into those pleading eyes and search your heart for this very special child.  She deserves a chance!!!  Please go to Wasatch's website to find out more info on this sweet child or email Kathy at kathy@wiaa.org  If you want to read another story of a beautiful little girl who required a leap of faith, go to No Greater Joy Mom and read about their journey of faith to their beautiful Haven.  It is an amazing story of trusting in God's plan!!!  Adeye and family are wonderful and have gone on to adopt 2 more little jems from Ukraine with Down Syndrome.  What a beautiful and faithful family they are and what blessings they have now, all because they trusted God's call!  I just have this feeling that sweet Bree will be another beautiful blessing for the family decides to take that leap of faith!!

Also listed with Wasatch is beautiful Elizabeth.

You might remember Elizabeth as "Misty" from ASIA's list as while back.

I was so heartbroken when this sweet child's file went back and was thrilled to find her again.  Elizabeth is 9 years old and is healthy.   Please, please go to Wasatch's website to find out more about this precious child or email Kathy at kathy@wiaa.org.

Also on Wasatch's list is beautiful Bella

I have also watched Bella on a few other sites and it breaks my heart that she still waits.  This precious child will age out in FEBRUARY!!!!  Please, please give this child a chance and a future!!!  Again, go to Wasatch's website or email Kathy at kathy@wiaa.org for more info.  They have many other wonderful kids listed with them as well.

Next is a beautiful little girl who is currently on the shared list.

She is ZBF and she is adorable!  She is 7 years old and is listed as having mild CP.  It sounds like she just has a limp on her left leg!  Please don't let the CP diagnosis scare you as it sounds like this wonderful child's CP only affects her left leg.  Please email me at 5puppies@comcast.net for the info needed to find her file.

Next are some kids who are featured with Bringing Hope to Children, whose files are being sent back soon.

The first is adorable YD, who I have featured before

He  now has a $3000 donation toward his adoption! Please someone consider this wonderful little boy! Just look at that smile!  Here is what is written about this precious child along with an update!

YD is a bright, happy and energetic little boy who is 6 years old. He attends school and is very helpful to the nannies at the orphanage. He has a wonderful disposition and his friends enjoy playing with him. YD has had two surgeries to correct his club feet; a third surgery was being planned in 2008 but we have not received a report with any details on that procedure. He walks without a problem and has the use of both hands. He has use of at least some of his fingers, but could really benefit from some therapy to improve his fine motor skills. YD is an all-around great little guy who would be such a wonderful addition to someone's family! There is a $3,000 grant available toward his adoption expenses which has been provided by someone who really wants this special boy to find a family.

New info: YD is now 114cm tall and weighs 23kg. He has not has any serious illnesses, but has had a cold and cough in bad weather. He wears corrective shoes for his club feet which, along with the previous surgeries, have resulted in improvement in their positioning. He can walk normally and stands very straight. He is developing on target. YD is in the first grade, doing well in both language and math. He is an independent boy, who washes his face when he gets up and washes his feet before bed. He dresses himself and helps the adults with chores. He is an outgoing boy, who gets along with the other children very well and is a favorite of the nannies.

Next is GBZ

This beautiful little girl has also been on the lists for a while.  She is 8 years old and is listed as having Hep B.  This is what is written about this sweet child:

Guang BaiZhu is cute as a bug! She is 8 years old and has been in care since she was 3. BaiZhu is a good helper to her foster mother and is friendly to people who visit, although she can be a bit shy at first. She goes to school but needs to be reminded to study harder; she would much rather play with her friends. She loves to play outside on the slide and enjoys playing with dolls with her friends. BaiZhu tests positive for HepB. She has two very small growths close to her left ear which might need to be removed. BaiZhu is a happy and loving little girl. She has been well-loved by her foster family and is now ready to have a family of her own. She is described as "a kind girl with a loving heart". What a wonderful daughter she will be!

Lastly from BHTC is WLZ - with an updated pic and info

Please someone take a look at this darling little girl's file. It sounds like her CP is mild and her greatest desire is "her own mother and father!" Please consider making her dreams come true! This is what is written about this sweet child:

She has CP athetosis.

WLZ is an active little girl, happy and curious, sweat smiles on her face all the time. She is a very lovely child, very independent, she dresses herself, takes bath, washes her own hair and does chores such as washing dishes, clearing rooms, and taking care of garbage. She loves doing this for the foster Mama.   WLZ is a gentle girl, considerable, and polite. She is a warm hearted child, gets along with the other kids very well, and always loving helping the others as much as she can. She is taking care of the brother and sister (foster home’s) very well, she is a very honest child.  She is in little sister class of “the half sky”, who understands the teachers, and learns well. Her speech is clearer, and can describe an event, counts from 1-100; knows the concept of amount;she can do addition and abstract within 10 by heart; and math problems of adding two digits to one digit( such as 10+8=; 22+5=).   She walks normal and balance well in the rooms, gets on and off steps by herself;but not used to fast walking in outside road, she needs help on high hill road, she can get on and off the bus by herself.   She has many interests, watches TV ;singing, playing outdoor games with her “brothers and sisters”, she can sing several songs by her own. She eats well, eats many things but “tofu Chinese soft bean cube” and fish. She is a healthy girl.  WLZ is a very kind heart, polite and independent girl. We are hoping that she can have a family of her own, and grows up happily.

Please go to their site, Bringing Hope to Children or email Dick at iaap@iaapadoption.com

Next is wonderful Brendon from LWB's

This is what is written about Brendon:

Brenden has the personality of a prince. In choosing his English name, our nutrition and orphanage assistance program director was right on with the name Brenden, which means “prince.” A prince can be defined as an “outstanding man,” and we know that Brenden certainly is outstanding!

With a personality of gold, Brenden lets things roll off of his back. Of course, that is not to say he does not shed a few tears to make his point known sometimes, but generally he has a mild temperament and loves to smile.  He may be shy at first, but one piece of cookie will make you his fast friend! Brenden just loves a cookie, and he gobbles them up as quickly as they can be handed to him. The nannies say, “When he finishes the cookie in his right hand, he starts to eat the cookie in the left hand and pulls out the right hand for more at the same time.” They also observe him making other children happy by giving them toys when they cry and say that “he tends to forget the unhappy things and become smiley again.”

This sweet prince is three years old. He has a diagnosis of mild cerebral palsy and is available for adoption through the Waiting Child Program.  Love Without Boundaries proudly advocates for adoption but is not an adoption agency. We invite you to contact adoptionassistance@lwbmail.com  with questions about a child we have featured and encourage you to contact your local adoption agency for more information about China’s Waiting Child Program.

Next is a beautiful little girl who is not paper ready but can be quickly if there is an interested family.

Her name is Lucy and she is being cared for at an Eagles Wing foster home.  Just look at her sweet smile!  Lucy has CP but is so very functional and just sounds like a terrific kid!  This is what is written about her by the director of an Eagles Wing:

She is the sweetest kid and would do great in a family, very adaptable. Her CP needs are what would probably be considered moderate. She is completely mobile, does all her own self-care (and she carries her own weight with our household chores, too!) but since her throat and face are affected, her speech is not clear. I think there would be improvement with speech therapy, but I don't know how much given her age. She functions very well in an Eng speaking home and she has good capacity for learning. She is behind her grade level due to lack of schooling over the past year, but I am working to help her catch up on that.

If you think you might be this precious girl's family, please email me at 5puppies@comcast.net

Next is a very special young boy who  is 11 years old

His name is Joseph and he desperately needs a home.  This is what is written about this wonderful child from his advocate:

He has Pulmonary atresia, Velo-Cardio, Facial Syndrome, a voice problem. From what people who have seen him and talked with him say, he is sweet, intelligent, very polite child and a big helper with the little kids.

We just found out that Joseph's adoption papers have returned to the CCAA by an adoption agency, because nobody was interested in him. Please help us to spread the words out that he is available for adoption, he is a sweet boy who desperately needs a forever family! Whoever is interested in him will need their agency to contact the CCAA for his paperwork.  This is what the gal from the foster facility says about him... "He can't speak clearly, it's hard to understand him, the doctor said he might need an operation to fix it and it's not a hard one but he has to wait until his heart is fixed (he has had one heart surgery 4 years ago, and needs one more)   He likes anything related to Ultraman and Transformer, Legos, he like to build toy airplanes and boats and draw, he is very particular about his food, he likes to eat noodles and potatoes and doesn't like meat that much, he is a very neat and kind boy, he is not the smartest kid in his class but does well with all the subjects, gets along with others."

Please email me at 5puppies@comcast.net for the info needed to find this very special child on the shared list.  I even have video I can share!!

Now I just want to remind you about a few of the children from previous posts:

There is sweet Blossom

Blossom has CP that only affects her physically.  She can understand everything but cannot do much, physically.  I just know that there is a very special family out there somewhere who will step out in faith and bring this precious child home.  I can only imagine the possibilities for her if she receives the therapy that she needs and has the love and support of a true family.

If you search your heart and think you might be this beautiful little girl's family, please email me at 5puppies@comcast.net  You would be giving this precious child a chance at a future!!

Next is beautiful Lizzie

Lizzie, was found when she was about a week old. She was diagnosed as a hepatitis carrier. She is developmentally on target, does not need any medicine, and is a normal kid. Since Mar.30 2000, Lizzie has lived with a foster family. She develops normally under good care of foster parents. Now she studies in Grade 6 in school, has normal scores, participates in various activities actively, has strong curiosity, active. In terms of adaptability, she is good in oral expression, could express her ideas clearly, respects teachers, gets along well with classmates. She is an extroverted and active girl. She likes playing on the computer and likes playing basketball. She is closest to her foster father.

Lizzie is on the shared list.  If you would like the info needed to find her, please email me at 5puppies@comcast.net

Next is adorable Annie

Her SN is listed as CP but an update showed that she does not have CP at all. She is deaf! Please take a look at that sweet face and email me for more info at 5puppies@comcast.net. If you belong to a deaf adopt yahoo group, please pass along the link!!

Please email me at 5puppies@comcast.net to get the info needed to find Annie on the shared list

Next are 3 precious children being cared for at Bethel, a wonderful organization caring for those orphans in China who are blind or visually impaired in some way.

First is XM

XM is a wonderful little girl who arrived at Bethel in July 2009! She got used to her new environment very quickly and has won the affection and the tenderness of all Bethel’s staff.

We think that XM is able to distinguish the different colors as well as large print or big objects. XM wears very cute glasses. XM is a little girl who is very sociable and very enthusiastic about everything. She likes to discover new things and touch everything around her! She adores the company of her friends and plays with her two best friends. XM is really pleasant to live with…she is always smiling, very polite (she says HELLO to everybody she meets!), and she is determined! She adapts very quickly to unknown situations. She’s full of energy. A real bundle of joy!

XM learns very fast. What she prefers is studying English and reading books. At school, her teacher is very proud of her! She likes the colors blue and red a lot, eating sausages, singing and doing different activities outside like going for a walk and jumping on the trampoline! XM is also a really pretty little girl…she would like to have very long hair so that she could decorate it with every color of hair band!
XM has everything she needs to achieve well in life: she is courageous, clever, and very determined, with the desire to learn and discover more and more!!! We are very happy having her in our big family

Next is JXL

JXL is a very delightful girl. She has a way about her that can’t be captured with just words, maybe it’s the way she can melt a heart by just being a child… She has an adorable smile and is very intelligent.  She has limited vision, but that doesn’t stop her from living actively, and independently. Each child here has monthly goals to reach, set by their nannies. JXL has done very well in achieving these goals, and moves quickly to new ones. We are trying to raise each child to be as independent as they can despite their disabilities and this is coming along quickly for JXL.

JXL is excelling in her everyday life and is quickly growing in knowledge and understanding. She has a mischievous streak in her and often tries to charm her way out of discipline. Like it has been mentioned before, she is very intelligent. She is attending music, English, math, arts and crafts, cooking, as well as pre Braille classes. We are also training the limited vision JXL has, and she can identify different colors, shapes and sizes by using the light box.
Although JXL is sometimes shy, she is quick to learn, and is adjusting to new challenges at a fast pace. She was one of the first children to come to Bethel and each day we are thankful for the joy she brings. We trust that she will keep excelling in all that is given to her and are grateful for the good health that she enjoys.
and YZ

When we saw YZ for the first time in his orphanage, he was a really sad boy. He didn’t smile at all and did everything we asked to him. He can walk correctly and see a little bit. He can eat alone and help when he dressed up.  YZ kept this behaviour the 2 first week of his arrival. He didn’t play that much with the other children, didn’t talk to them and cried a lot during day and night.

Since one week, he has made a lot of progresses. He talks a lot and say hello even at strangers. Sometimes when someone say hello to him he begin to run and laugh. He can choose his toys, like to follow the class even if it seems that he doesn’t listen. There is still few moments in the week were YZ cry without any apparent reason. Nothing can help him to calm down, we just have to wait. During these moments, he still continues to listen what the mamas are saying and to what they want but he can’t stop to cry. It will take a while to understand what was his past and why he react like this sometimes…

Please email me at 5puppies@comcast.net to get more info on these wonderful kids!

Next is a wonderful little boy listed with CHSFS

This handsome and smart boy was born in 2004. He is happy, outgoing and very focused. He likes running with his classmates and playing games. He likes play-doh and drawing. He attends schol and can write, count, sing, dress, and read simple characters His teachers describe him as studious and hard working. In his foster home he helps his foster parents a lot by mopping the floor and cleaning the table. This boy has a slightly deformed right arm that he uses well and a deformed left hand. He is very independent and is proud of the fact that he does many things on his own. He said “I can walk, run, rope jump, dance and feed myself as other children with normal hands can do.” I was very proud of his abilities. He wants an adoptive family.

His pictures are frequently displayed and he can draw a great car. He is always picked as one of the actors in any orphanage performance. He is described as shy but it is hard to believe when he asked the social worker, a foreigner, to dance during the orphanage program! Our social workers loved this funny, social boy. He is friendly to other children and the caregivers say he is a good role model for the younger playmates. He has a heart defect. Many grant opportunities are available for his adoption. Just go here to find out more about these wonderful boys and all the other children they have listed.

Please also remember all the wonderful children listed with A.A.C.

Gabriel

Drew

Alex

Alexa

Desirea

and Sierra

Please go to A.A.C.'s website to find out more about these precious children and all the others they have listed.

And of course beautiful Arizona

Arizona is on the shared list. She is 4 years old and as cute as a button!!! Sweet Arizona's SN is listed as MDS/TBD, which means "to be determined." If her diagnosis is correct, she would benefit from a bone marrow transplant - something she cannot get in China!! Please, if you would like more info on this sweet child, email me at 5puppies@comcast.net. I can get you in touch with someone who knows this little one!

And precious Lindsey

Lindsey is 9 years old and was just recently diagnosed 2 years ago, with Mediterranean Anemia. From what I have been told if it was diagnosed so late, it must be a very mild case which is so very treatable!!!

Please email me at 5puppies@comcast.net to find out more about these wonderful little girls

Please also feel free to post the link to this blog to whom ever you think might be interested in giving these wonderful kids a family!  If there is a child whom you would like me to advocate for, please email me at 5puppies@comcast.net  I do not think I will post my waiting kids next week but will be back after Thanksgiving!!!

  2. I just wanted to say if anyone is considering adopting "Bree" do not let amputation scare you away from the blessing this child could be to your family. Our Naomi Tao Xuan was born missing a bone and 2 toes on one leg and had a Symes Amputation. She now walks, runs, climbs, jumps with her prosthesis and is generally a dare-devil physically. NOTHING holds her back. This has been a very easy special need and she is able to put on her "leggy" by herself. You can see her at www.bringinghomenaomi.blogspot.com Scroll down a few pages to see pics of our time in the hospital. Anyway just to encourage someone that this need is really so easy. I am also wondering if Bree can be casted?
