Every little bit helps, right??? And some random Friday fun stuff!!

I have to start with a question and a very small contest of sorts. Can you guess what this is????

My eldest son came to me the other day and asked me if I could loan him a dollar because there was something that he wanted to purchase that was $3 and he had $2 in change. When he told me what it was, I HAD to give him the dollar because I was VERY curious to see what it would look like and how it was made!! Can you guess?? I will donate $20 (I know it's not much, but all I can do right now) to the charity of choice (no political party charities, please) to person who can guess what it is!! If no one gets it right, I will post some hints!!! So guess away!!

Next is the fun stuff...

The other morning, the kids woke up and decided to let Mom and Dad sleep (angel children)!!! I overlooked the fact that they were watching cartoons (Saturday morning) that are not approved and that my kitchen was a MESS, because, well, they let us SLEEP!! As I was surveying the damages and turning off the tv, Caleb very sweetly came to me and told me about how he had made Em some very special chocolate milk. "Okay, that's nice sweetheart but where is this 'special' chocolate milk?" I inquired, my heart sinking a bit!! "Right here," he said proudly!!!

Oh my!!! I guess the Nesquick will have to go on a higher shelf and yes, Em drank and apparently enjoyed her "special" chocolate milk!!!

You're a stronger woman than I baby girl!!! Hehe!!!

I have to finish with a pic that I took at the park and just love!! Lizzie feels most comfortable when she is touching me. There are times where I feel like she just needs that to feel secure and to make sure that Mommie is with her and will stay with her!! Sometimes it is so hard but other times it is so nice!! Like this time!!

  2. I love your shadow picture. It's so precious! Olivia is the exact same way with me. Always touching me. For the first 9 months she rarely left my side. If I was sitting on the couch she was pressed up against me at all times. We have a special bond because of it.

  5. I was right, but too late to win. You would be amazed at the stuff made out of duct tape. Go to etsy.com and search for duct tape stuff.

  6. love the shadow photo! Does Lizzie like to smoosh her face against yours? Our little one can't get enough of "face" squooshes...cheeks, nose, chin....smooshing your face against mine...loving every minute of it! It's sweet unless she's slobbery or has a runny nose of course! She too is like our "velcro" kid (stuck on me). I'll miss this someday.

  7. Tricia, I will have to check it out! I never, ever imagined a wallet made from duct tape!! Can't wait to see what else can be done with this stuff!!Denise, Lizzie does like to smoosh her face against mine but only just recently. One week not too long ago, she started resting her head on my shoulder and sleeping, another week I got the very first kiss on the lips and just recently it was smooshing her face against mine!! Can't wait to see how far we are in a month or 2! BTW, Lynn asked that I donate to a beautiful family who left to meet their new daughter today anad are in desperate need of about $1000 to help with finances. You can check out their blog at
