Our boys have been all about making money this summer and no job is too small or too dirty. I think they may have even pictured themselves on an episode of "Dirty Jobs!" Hehe!!
The marsh needed to be cleaned up,
cause apparently some people don't know how to use a trash can!! UGH!
So, the neighborhood called in the The Dirty
for 15 dollars each!
Was it worth it???
Hey, according to my kids, 15 bucks is 15 bucks!!!
Funny thing is though,
The one and only girl in the group somehow managed to get dirtier than the other 3 boys!! Really???
The little ones seemed to have the right idea,
Swimming
And eating - course they weren't getting paid $15 and I don't think they cared!! Heh!
At the end of the day, however
The marsh was clean
and our Dirty
and they got to swim
and rehash the day, you know, all the alligator dodging and snake wrangling stories had to be
And where was I, you ask???
Supervising, on the porch swing, of course - the best seat to see all the alligator dodging and snake wrestling while enjoying an ice cold Mountain Dew!!! Hehe!!

Wow! Tell them I am very very impressed with their work ethic. Not many kids have it these days! We started Grant and Ally on paying jobs that weren't part of their usually household chores. They get paid at the end of the month and are expected to save and pay for their own "fun" on vacation. They better save up! Glad your boys are hardworkers and sooooooo cute in the process!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree; you two have taught them a wonderful work ethic. They will go far in life with that. No job is too small. And.....I agree that "a buck is a buck."
