Sunday Snapshot - Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas one day late!  I know, I know but we were up late and up early and I was tired!

This year was crazy as usual but interestingly enough, not as crazy as years past!  Hubby and I sort of walked around in a daze at times when we realized that we weren't being called every half a nano second to open something up or to put something together or to find the half an inch long critical piece to a thousand piece Leggo set that was (surprise, surprise) lost!  There were NO Leggos this year!  NO Bionicles!  No Imaginex!  NO Hot Wheel Tracks!  NO Little People play sets!!!!

Hooray and Sniff Sniff!!!!

My babies are growing up and while it made for an easier morning, I still find myself longing just a bit for the days of finding those half inch pieces of Leggos in my sofa cushions, Hot Wheel tracks winding their way through my house and Sara and Eddie touring underfoot in their little yellow school bus.

Um, yeah, on second thought, make that two "hooray's" and just one "sniff!"  Hehe!!!

I even had to purchase this...

A gift for Christian's, gulp, girlfriend!!!!!!  OK, back to 2 sniff sniff's and one great big YIKES!!

Anyway, we had a great day.  It was long but it was good!

Even though things were a bit tight this year, Santa was still good to the kids!  Don't know what I am going to use as a threat now, for good behavior!!!  Sigh!

Hubby and I feel very blessed.

Even though finances are tough this year, things just happened over and over that reassured us that the Lord was providing and would handle it for us this year!!

We made our traditional Reindeer food,

guaranteed to make you fly!!

We made Christmas cookies...

With LOTS of sprinkles

unfortunately, we ate them too...

until there were none left for Santa!

Thank goodness for Chips Ahoy!

Even Memow got a present

although I am not sure she appreciated it!

Maybe she will get used to it!!  Hehe!

Lizzie spent the morning nestled among her gifts!

As happy as a clam!!

The very best gift this Momma got was a big bag of "treasures" from my wonderful, large hearted children!

My wonderful children emptied their piggy banks and treasure boxes and wrapped up many of their most valued possessions to give to us!!!!  A precious gift from their beautiful hearts!

After a full morning of gift giving and unwrapping, we moved the party to JuJu's house!

We played Hearts

 and Crazy Eights

and Go Fish!

It was a nice ending to a really wonderful Christmas!  Just playing some simple card games and enjoying my family!  No electronics in sight!!!  Ahhhhhh!!!

Hope you all had a really wonderful Christmas!!!!!

Merry Christmas to all - a day late!!!!

  1. So glad u had a great Christmas. That ping pong table looks like fun! We were thinking of getting one for the sunroom. Then again, I was kind of hoping to overtake that room as a mommy room! HEHEHE!

  3. What a great day! I'm coming over to play ping pong! On another note, I realized that I hadn't seen your blog in awhile and as I started investigating I discovered that my blog list dropped you! What on earth?! I tried to add you back and now it won't let me. :( Boo. I'll try again and I have so many posts to catch up on now! Off to read! Gnight!

(btw...I was reading a couple of blog posts down and in reading about Hayden, I swear that is the little girl that was part of my "caseload" when I volunteered as a medical coordinator for LWB. I wonder if it is. Darn China rules excluding singles :( )
