It was a good day, until...

It started out to be such a good day.  There was no,

OR,
for anyone!!

Wow!  An entire day with n.o.t.h.i.n.g to do!!!  It started off great!

We made breakfast...

chocolate chip muffins to be exact...

and bacon...

and scrambled eggs...

we had a couple of extra boys for breakfast...

it was a bit early for some of us...

but after some clean up...

and some snuggle time on the couch...

the girls were ready to go...

They started with some Lacrosse...

and then some football...

next was baseball...

Yes, it was a good day, until...

the boys showed up!  Yes, that is a broken window!  At least he broke his own window!  The "he" in this scenario would be our 10 year old, Charlie.

The one voted most likely to, well, break a window!!!  Sigh!  You would think he would have learned his lesson with the big screen t.v., but sadly, no!  He and his "not completely innocent" brother will pay for the window and hopefully learn their lesson, now!!  A mother can dream, can't she!  Oh well, I guess every family has to have their "break the window" moment!!  We're done now, right??  Hehe!!

  1. Annie,
I have to tell you this story. A few months ago, Faith flooded the bathroom. She turned the faucet on all the way and plugged the drain and just "let-her-rip". I came around the corner who knows how long after the fact and she was standing in about and inch of water and said, "Mommy, it's water!!" just as her feet flew out from under her and she splashed down in the water like jumping into a pool. The boys yelled "The TV" and we ran downstairs to see water running through the ceiling onto the big screen TV....not good. The tend to not work anymore after they're drenched if ya' know what I mean.

  2. Oh Annie! The joys of kids. Allyson broke her window at the age of 5. She said, "Mommy, there's a star in the window" and I didn't even think anything of it until I went into the playroom later and saw the broken window. She through a matchbox car into it.

  6. Well we, too, have had the "breakable" moment a few years back when the kids were playing ball! Guess it happens to all of us at one time or another! :) Looks like it was a fun morning nonetheless with lots of smiles in between and after!! LOL!
