when the grocery store people decided that giving 5 year old girls these leth*l we*pons...
was a good idea???
I mean, I have NO skin left on the backs of my heels!!!!
Not to mention the fact that the items in each of their leth*l we*pons just HAD to be equal or I was living hard! I think we even bought band aids (an item we did not need) just to keep it fair!
Hey, maybe that is their evil plan!
Curse you grocery store people! Hehe!
Oh and that was the look I got when I told her that they had to walk in front of me from now on!!!
Hey, it was that or use up all those unneeded band aids on my skinless heels! Ouch!

Why Women have Babies
Just take a look at that big boo boo!
So what in the world does that big boo boo have to do with having babies??
Well, right after Miss Em decided to try a Fred Flintstone stop - with her elbows - she came calmly in to the house and informed me that she had a boo boo - a big boo boo!
I not so calmly told her that if that big boo boo had landed on any one of her big brothers' elbows at the age of
This is why women have babies!
Am I right or am I right! Hehe!
It did help to have her "twin" sister there to comfort her!
These two!! They have already decided that when they grow up, Em will be the doctor that delivers the babies and Lizzie will be the doctor who takes care of the babies! They have also started saying the exact same things at the exact same times and jinxing each other constatly!
Watch out world, here they come!

Sticky Girls
Apparently having 3 big brothers teaches a girl that...
Girls just have to stick together!!!! Yep, these two have learned at a very young age that we, testosterone-less creatures must band together. How else will we be able to defeat the burbs and slurps, the scab picking and the constant "dude-ing", the taking pleasure in all things gross and thinking that having the best "wipe-out" is actually cool???
Until, of course, they decide that if you can't beat them, you can join them!!!! Sigh!!! Hehe!
Sorry for the crickets around here lately! I am in the process of moving my advocacy site to a partially PW protected site. I am very excited about this but it is taking me SO long to get all my kiddos moved over and to just be able to figure out the new site! I am so NOT computer savvy!!! Bear with me for a week or 2 and then I will have a bit more time to post over here - in between taking care of hubby, 5 kids, 4 dogs, and one crazy cat!!! Hehe!!!

Sleepover!!!
So the girls had their very first non-grandma sleep over last week!! They were VERY excited...
I was VERY nervous...
not because I thought they would get homesick....
because they were just going right next door...
but because I know the kind of destructive force that lies behind those cute little faces...
and I really like our neighbors...
and I was very afraid to unleash the power of the twin tornadoes!!! Hehe!!!
My wonderful neighbor is still speaking to me, so I guess the tornadoes actually listened when we discussed
how to go about - being - asked - back andwe they had a great time and we really want them they really want to be asked back!!!! Heh!
Way to my cute little forces of mass destruction!!!!!! Hehe!!!

My Big Girl...
Well, it happened the other day! My little girl who still thinks Barney is an OK dude and that a quarter can buy the world, reached yet another milestone on her journey to big girl status, shedding one more little girl layer on the way!
For a while now, Em has been able to ride her "big girl" bike without training wheels, yet every time we try (and we tried quite a bit), she would take off - and scream!!!! She would be cruising on down the road training wheel-less while screaming for someone, anyone to save her from apparently a fate worse than death - falling! The idea of just putting her feet down to stop herself must have alluded her! Heh!
Now in her defense she does have 3 big brothers or should I say one Charlie and she has seen her fair share of falls and what can happen when you fall...
and don't wear your helmet!! Do you know I STILL have to get on this child for NOT wearing his helmet!!! UGH!! I guess that fall did nothing to cure the hardness of his head - just left a big crack in the sidewalk!
So anyway, I suppose you could say that the girl has been traumatized a bit by herCharlie big bro's and their antics. Still, all that practicing was, if nothing else, hard on this poor old Momma's back! Em wanted so badly to loose those little girl training wheels but was terrified or traumatized or Charlietized!!! Any way ya look at it, she could do it, but her fear stopped her every time!
Well, I am happy to report that after riding a friend's bike in the grass (why didn't I think of that sooner), she suddenly saw that she could do it and that she could actually put - her - foot - down to stop herself from falling!!! Hey, what a concept, huh??
So, without further ado, may I present the just a bit more grown up Emmeline, otherwise known as Charlie's twin! Oh my, why did I want her to ride without training wheels again??? Hehe!!!
If you listen closely, you can hear baby sister in the background cheering her bigger sister on, while doing some fancy moves of her own!
Gotta have a chat with that girl about talking on the phone while driving!! Yeah, like I am one to talk - so to speak!! Hehe!
Oh yeah and while Miss Em was gleefully riding her bike - with - her - helmet, her other half decided that he was going to bike down to a friend's house a play football...
and KEEP BOTH HANDS ON THE WHEEL!!!! I don't want anymore cracks in my sidewalk!!! Hehe!

Anything missing there, young Charles???? Sheessh! His brilliant Mom (ahem) did however figure out how he could carry the football....
