Guess Who I Got to Meet Today???

You all might remember precious Yong

Whom LWB was trying to help by getting him the surgery that he needed.

This sweet child so touched my Caleb's heart that for his 10th birthday, he asked his friends to donate to Yong's surgery instead of buying him gifts and...

I got to meet him today!!!!

I was able to meet some precious children who are in the care of the foster care center where Maggie has been for the last 4 months and he just happen (wink) to be there!

When I saw him walk out, I asked if this was Yong and then told his foster family the story about Caleb and how we had been praying for him.

They told Yong that we had been praying for him and I got to hold him in my lap!
I cried!
Surprise Surprise!

This is just one example of how the Lord is showing me things...
blessing me and hopefully using me...

I am meeting people, extraordinary people and children who break my heart and move my heart and whom are counting on my heart.

In the coming weeks, I will be posting more faces and I am not certain how this will look but there is something going on and I pray that I will hear His direction for all of this.

There is so much going on in my head and heart and I will need time to sort it all out and my girls need me too but stay tuned and please pray for these wonderful, waiting kids!

  1. Annie- Oh my! What a terrific surprise to see you with Yong. I've been following Yong's story avidly as well. There hadn't been any updates since this past May/June, I believe. The latest was that he will be operated on in Los Angeles by the same team who had previously agreed to perform the delicate surgery. A U.S. couple is willing to adopt him after the surgery.

Then no more news on Yong until your post. It appears the tumor has grown larger. Hopefully, he can receive the required surgery soon.

    1. Hi Jennie, from what the foster family told us, his family will be there for him very soon and as soon as they get home, he will get the surgery that he needs:) Praise the Lord!

    2. Hi Annie, Truly appreciate your response. So, so glad to know Yong's family will be with him soon, and that he will have the necessary surgery. It was providential that you were able to meet Yong. With this update, I'm re-energized to continue to pray intelligently for an excellent outcome for Yong. Beyond that facial tumor, I see a sweet little boy who yearns to be a typical little boy. And Caleb is a wonderful boy who knows his priorities! Maybe I will get to meet your clan one day as I live in the Research Triangle Park area by Durham/Chapel Hill. Best, Jennie

  2. How wonderful you got to visit with Yong! He looks happy to be in your arms. :)

    warmly, Addie

  3. So exciting!!! So, you didn't know he lived there?! It was a total "coincidence"?!?! God is so amazingly awesome!!!

  4. So glad you were able to meet this precious boy! God Bless him! I pray he gets his surgery soon! I Love your Caleb's heart!

Can't wait to find out what you have up your sleeve- praying for you and for God's direction!

  5. So amazing that you got to meet Yong! That is just wonderful! I cannot wait to hear more about your trip.
