Beauty from Ashes

So you know that you know that the Lord will use the hard times.

However, it is easy to forget and get lost in those hard times.

When Hubby lost his job this time, it was hard.

Just getting home from China with two special needs girlies, going from 5 to 7 kiddos and Christmas right around the corner, made it easy to get lost in the "hard"...

but we have BTDT and have grown and while we have occasionally lost our way or gotten weary this time around, it wasn't for long cause we knew that He was working and we knew that He would use this time for good...

and He did!

You see, we have been on quite a journey, Hubby and I and we have come such a long way.

Our faith has been stretched and refined and transformed and today Hubby decided to make it official.

Today Hubby confirmed his faith and reaffirmed his baptismal vows and 'officially" joined our church.

I am so proud of him and the way he has opened up and let go and now understands that this is the beginning.

The Lord has done a mighty work in Hubby's heart and orchestrated this time, this time of dependance and trust and faith for His purposes, His good!

I am amazed when I think about where we are now and how much our faith has grown and I am so excited to see where He will lead us - both of us!

This was my Bible verse for the day and I thought it was fitting:

[ The Word Became Flesh ] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
 John 1:1-2, 14

Thank you Father for answering
