Ten Years Ago...

Posted on February 1st

Ok so it is all too fresh. There are no words right now. Only emotion, real and very raw.

Did her bio Mom think of her today?

She would not have known the daughter she could not raise was...

10 years later...  so close.

Two of her nannies were still there...

along with 800 children...

We saw only a small portion of those precious, waiting ones...

It was a good day, a healing day but a hard day and one day soon, I know the words will come...

but not today.

Thank you for your prayers. They were felt and felt very deeply.

  1. Very interesting about your daughter's birth parents not knowing she was so close. Maybe they did. Sometimes we are the ones in the dark. Over the years I've heard a lot of stories of the orphanage knowing much, much more than they told. Like who the birth parents are. I also have two daughters who have birth sisters we later found out about. One of my daughters who was adopted older remembers her abandonment bc she was 5. She remembers "someone" calling her birth Mom asking if she wants her back. Then over 3 years after we adopted her we did DNA proving her who her birth sister was. The orphanage had put the sisters in foster home next door to one another. Even the foster moms questioned if they were sisters.
